CEREC One-Visit Dentistry

“The Cerec CAD/CAM is the single most incredible advancement in the field of dentistry, I never thought this could be possible in my lifetime. Wait and see, in 20 years there won’t be a dental office without it.”

What you should know about CEREC:

Digital Impression

After examining the tooth and determining the course of treatment, we will prepare your tooth for restoration. CEREC technology allows Dr. Olivari to conserve almost all of your remaining tooth structure, unlike traditional crown preparation. The newest CEREC imaging system utilizes the OMNICAM, a Super hi resolution 3 D video. The CEREC software produces a virtual model of your mouth. The software records the movements of your mouth and then reproduces them, making the final restoration incredibly accurate.

Computer Aided Design (CAD)
State-of-the-art CAD software allows us to design every precise detail of your restoration with the accuracy you’ve come to expect from us. The software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs.

Mill and Place
While you wait, exact design specifications are sent to our on-site milling machine to create your restoration. About 10 minutes later, your all-ceramic, color-matched restoration is ready for placement. Your new restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded for permanence. Your tooth is restored back to its natural form, function, and beauty.

Advantages

~ Complicated cosmetic dentistry involving veneers or full crowns on front teeth can be performed in one session thereby achieving immediate results without the need for numerous return visits. Dr. Olivari fabricates the finished product in his ceramics lab, located in the treatment area. Patients are encouraged to watch the process of their own teeth being made.
~ Replaces extensive amalgams and composite fillings to create a smooth tooth-colored restoration.
~ This is not a “white filling” which is commonly known as “composite”, this is porcelain.
~ Conserves patient’s tooth structure, which can never be replaced once removed.
~ Not temporary, which means no second or third visit or additional injections.
